The 16th chapter of "Dragon Ball Super" revealed the reason why Black Goku came to wage destruction on Future Trunks' timeline. It was not a random choice nor was it about a personal vendetta on Trunks. It had more to do with the connection between a particular universe's designated Supreme Kai and his corresponding God of Destruction.

As it turned out, the death of one meant the death of the other. Since the God of Destruction could easily strike even a fellow god down without breaking a sweat, Black Goku had been targeting the less confrontational Supreme Kai in each timeline to indirectly get rid of the God of Destruction as well.

When he got to the seventh Universe in Future Trunks' timeline, he witnessed Supreme Kai's death after an intense battle against Babidi and his burly henchman Dabura. This meant that Future Trunks' timeline had also lost its God of Destruction in the process, and this was enough for Black Goku to begin unleashing his destructive powers on Future Trunks' world without opposition.

This chapter also revealed Black Goku's immensely powerful time travelling skills. He could freely travel across parallel universes and slip through different timelines with ease. One likely source of this power is a time ring, but this also poses yet another question: how did Black Goku get his hands on a time ring?

Hinting on a likely possibility, the final frame of the "Dragon Bally Super" chapter 16 showed Gowasu, the 10th Universe's Kaio, offering a time ring to his apprentice Zamasu in hopes of teaching him about the ability of humans and humanoid creatures alike to improve their ways in time.

In the anime adaptation of this manga, it seemed that Zamasu was the main perpetrator of the destruction of Future Trunks' world. However, could it have been Black Goku who pushed him off the gray edges of his morality and convinced him to steal a time ring from Gowasu's case to serve their mutual goals of annihilating the human race?

The anime adaptation is already ahead of the manga, but Stopru speculated that since there are some differences between the two versions of "Dragon Ball Super," hopefully none of the important information in each should be spoiled ahead of time, especially since Black Goku's real identity still remains a mystery in both the manga and the anime.

"Dragon Ball Super" has also inspired a mobile game called "Dragon Ball Scouter." Details about the game and how to get started playing it can be found in the game's official website as well as in this video released by Bandai Namco.

A new "Dragon Ball Super" chapter is published every 21st of the month on Shueisha's monthly "V Jump" magazine.
