'Downton Abbey' Air Date, Recap and Spoilers: Show Returning January 2015
Now that Christmas has been celebrated at Downton Abbey, fans are thinking how much longer they will need to wait until they find out what happens next.
The show will premiere on January 4, 2015, 9/8c on PBS.
We have all gotten used to the Grantham family feeling unhappy amid the festive Christmas spirit.
However, last Thursday was different. Warm feelings lingered as Mr. Bates (Brendan Coyle) and Anna (Joanne Froggat) were released from the custody of police. They were both accused for the murder of Green, a rapist.
Meanwhile, Tom Branson (Allen Leech) had to say his final goodbye as he left for America to begin a new life.
On the other hand, Lord Grantham (Hugh Bonneville) has revealed to his daughter Edith (Laura Carmichael) that he has accepted Marigold as his daughter, and that he knew all along.
Hugh Bonneville, who plays Lord Grantham, in an interview, said that he is "a very lucky actor to be in a show that people love and continues to grow around the world."
He also said that he is doing what he loves doing, and he is lucky to be part of a "fantastic team."
He also commended the writer and producer, Julian Fellowes, to whom they owe the "unique show" that he feels is "so big in scale."
"It's really him, and he'll know when it's time to tie-up all the loose ends and put it to bed. Shows like Downton are once in a career, and I know it will come to an end eventually – and I can just retire and do some knitting," Bonneville added.
