Aside from adding improvements to "Diablo 3," patch 2.4.3 features a few significant game bonuses for its avid players. The patch introduces an increase in power of The Saffron Wrap of Barbarian as well as the Talisman of Akkhan as the seventh piece on Armor of Akkhan. In addition, the latest patch allows players to access the 20th anniversary edition of the first title in the franchise, "Diablo 1." The edition is slated to launch in January next year, but owners of "Diablo 3" who have installed the latest patch can get their hands on the upcoming edition ahead of its launch date.

Blizzard Entertainment also teased the latest details for the forthcoming downloadable content (DLC) for "Diablo 3," which is titled "Rise of the Necromancer." The expansion pack highlights the master of the dark arts who summons armies of the undead with blood magic. The video game developers released a short preview for the expansion pack, showing the character of the Necromancer.

At the 2016 BlizzCon, which was held from Oct. 26 to Nov. 5, Blizzard Entertainment co-founder Frank Pearce revealed during their panel that the Necromancer in the upcoming expansion was based on the characters from the game's preceding title, "Diablo 2." Popular abilities are making a comeback in the expansion, including the Corpse Explosion which allows gamers to summon an ally in the field.

Furthermore, the developers have yet to announce the possibility of a fourth installment for the franchise. The current title was launched four years ago, and has yet to be renewed.
