According to the latest rumors, Bungie is already developing the much-awaited sequel to the hit first-person shooter game "Destiny." The players have been hooked on the exciting features of "Destiny," although "Destiny 2" does not seem to be a follow-up sequel that shows everything in the first game. For one, the sequel is rumored to feature a new location and a few changes on the current classes and sub-classes.

According to Game N Guide, it is possible that "Destiny 2" will use a new planet as the focus of the game. The rumors suggest that Bungie will feature Mars as the setting of all the action. For those who are familiar with the expansion "Destiny: The Taken King," it is possible that "Destiny 2" will have a few connections with it, especially that the said DLC also takes the players into the deserted red planet.

Moreover, "Destiny 2" is also expected to boast a few improvements, particularly in the game's environment and the gameplay itself. Some players have complained about the limited and seemingly static surroundings due to small server sizes and heavy instancing. This might be due to the technology constraints of PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, which were the latest gaming consoles when the game was first released. There is also a chance that "Destiny 2" will adapt a full open-world experience and asserting an MMO style in the gameplay.

Yibada reported that Bungie may also introduce some changes in the Guardian classes and subclasses for the sequel. Specifically, the game studio may include new Guardian classes and present a new class system that is more RPG-focused. With this, a particular sub-class can have more customization options, plus each different character will appear unique.

Bungie has been giving out hints that they are already planning a sequel for "Destiny," but they have not yet released an official announcement that confirms "Destiny 2." For now, it is best not to give too much credence to these early rumors and wait for the official details from Bungie. The good thing is that the fans can have something to spend their time with as Bungie already released the latest expansion for the game, "Destiny: Rise of Iron."
