Despite being one of the smaller market teams, the Denver Nuggets are expected to make a splash this season and surprise many critics.

In the past, the Nuggets were not considered as one of the playoff teams in the Western Conference, but all that may change thanks to their solid line-up with members who are willing to step up.

Fan Sided mentioned different reasons why the Nuggets can be a good team this year. One is because they have pieces in tow and if they are healthy, they have depth in almost all positions on the floor.

Another thing that the Nuggets need to do is to steer clear of trade rumors, just like how things were with Will Barton. In the past, there were talks that Barton was going to be traded as the Nuggets looked for more pieces for the team.

However, reports said that Barton would stay and this would be the best thing the Nuggets could do at the moment.

In the first two games of the season, Barton has been decent, averaging 19 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. The 25-year-old is shooting at an improved rate as he drains 44 percent of his shots from the field, including 40 percent from beyond the arc.

It is important for Denver to keep Barton healthy and playing as he can be a cornerstone for the team and its young core.

The main thing that Denver needs to maintain is their chemistry and the desire to move forward as a team.

Denver has never had the knack of acquiring big-named players and they don't seem ready to do that anytime soon.

However, they have a line-up that works at the moment and if they can avoid any trade talks and letting go of their young players, then they should be a good team in the coming years.
