Denver Nuggets trade rumors 2016: To lose current stars?
The Denver Nuggets are on the cusp of being a Western Conference playoff team but are missing a few pieces which can be addressed by a few trades.
However, it appears that the team is constantly linked to deal their stars to trades in order to get more pieces and even lure bigger names into the team.
A few names from the Denver Nuggets are possibly on the trading block, with two of their best players being linked with a move away from the club before the start of the coming season.
First on the list is the power forward, Kenneth Faried. He has been with the Nuggets his entire career after being picked 22nd overall in the 2011 draft.
He is a reliable big man who averages 12.3 points per game while pulling down 8.7 rebounds per contest.
Faried does not have the superstar numbers but he makes up for in effort every night and should the Nuggets deal him away from Colorado, they should be able to get a decent star or a few pieces for him.
At 26 years old, Faried is still developing and will enter his prime in a few years, and he has already been linked with a move away from the team.
Another player who looks like he may be playing for another team soon is Danilo Gallinari.
The Italian has played the Nuggets for five seasons and has been their best player lately.
Averaging 15.6 points as a Nugget, the only biggest problem for Gallinari is staying healthy to play the majority of a season.
Gallinari has only played more than 63 games twice in his career, back in the 2012-13 and in 2009-10 with the New York Knicks.
However, only at 27 years old, Gallinari could still give a lot for a team he plays for and should still get a lot in return if he is traded, as proposed by Soaring Down South.
If Denver is looking to add big names, they appear willing to let go of the ones they have now, and only time will tell if it will happen and if the franchise will succeed.
