A lot of fans were disheartened after celebrity game developer Hideo Kojima parted ways with Konami and decided to independently make his own games. Now, he's working on a game called "Death Stranding,' but Kojima has taken the time to comment on the HBO series "Westworld," and how it relates to his theory when he makes games.

In a recent tweet, he said, "Watched 'Westworld' E2. What Anthony Hopkins said in that story was an exact theory of my game design." In the series, Hopkins plays Dr. Robert Ford, the creator and mind behind his theme park, Westworld. Kojima pointed out this particular speech of the character:

"They come back because of the subtleties, the details. They come back because they discover something they imagined no one had ever noticed before, something they fall in love with. They are not looking for the story that tells them who they are, they already know who they are. They are here for a glimpse of who they could be."

Some fans have pointed out that this theory can be considered most prevalent in Kojima's "Metal Gear Solid 2." Not only does the game have hidden Easter Eggs and secrets, Kojima also made use of different real-world elements to make the experience different from any other game.

One particular boss in the game has the power to use telepathy, and players could defeat him if they changed the controller port from Player 1 to Player 2. Another fun element was when the game would ask the player to look for a secret code in the game's packaging.

Though Kojima has put his "Metal Gear" games behind him, he says that this upcoming "Death Stranding" will be his "best work." Though fans are still unsure as to what to expect from the game, Kojima has enough of an excellent reputation to let players know that he's aware of what he's doing.

There is no official release date yet for "Death Stranding."
