'Dance Moms' season 7 episode 8 spoilers: Minis take spotlight as moms fight over who leads grave digger-inspired group dance
"Dance Moms" season 7 returns this Tuesday with a killer episode, "ALDC Ain't Dead Yet." The title was inspired by the routines the Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC) performs at the Fierce National Dance Competition in Phoenix, Arizona.
The group dance is a Contemporary routine titled "Six Feet Underneath," which is based on grave diggers. Brynn Rumfallo, Camryn Bridges, Kalani Hilliker, Kendall Vertes and Nia Sioux team up for this performance.
For the girls to perfect the routine and to get a better grasp of the choreography, dance coach Abby Lee Miller takes them to the team to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in "Dance Moms" season 7, episode 8.
The promo for the installment shows that Miller is pretty excited about the concept of the dance. However, she also gets easily angered when the moms start asking about who the lead will be for it.
As one would have thought, this leads to turmoil as the mothers end up arguing as to who should be front and center, stating why their daughters should take the coveted spot.
The "Dance Moms" season 7, episode 8 preview shows Miller talking to an unseen mom, who threatens her child to be removed from the group if she continues with the attitude.
Mini team's Lilliana Ketchman and Elliana Walmsley go head to head with their solos while Kendall represents the ALDC in the Teen Solo category.
Spoiler Alert! The following contains competition results from "Dance Moms" season 7, episode 8. Read at your own discretion.
Elliana ends up in second place and fifth overall with her Jazz performance for "Charlie," a dance inspired by silent comedy genius Charlie Chaplin. The mini dancer's mother, Yolanda, even dressed up as Chaplin to cheer her kid on.
Lilliana lands at the top spot and also first overall with her Acrobatic solo, "Dainty but Dangerous." Kendall dominated the teen division with her Contemporary performance, "DOA," short for "Dead on Arrival," but she placed just fourth overall.
For the group dance, the team of five wins first place in the teen division and first overall. On the whole, "Dance Moms" season 7, episode 8 marked another strong and incredible showing for the ALDC.
"Dance Moms" season 7, episode 8, "ALDC Ain't Dead Yet," airs Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
