'Dance Moms' Season 5 Recap, Latest News: Abby Miller Facing Lawsuit
Season 5 of "Dance Moms" premiered to some bad news such as Chloe Lukasiak officially leaving the ALDC.
When the moms and dancers found out, they all had something to say about the 13-year old leaving her coach, Abby Miller. However, it was Maddie Zieglar who was most vocal about what she felt about Chloe's departure.
"Does anybody know where Chloe is?" Maddie, 12, asked. "The last time I talked to Chloe was before the nationals blowout. I just want to say that I miss her so much, but I guess she hasn't thought to text back. I feel like I've definitely lost a friend because, I mean, I've been dancing with her since I was 4 years old and it just doesn't feel right without her."
In the last episode entitled "Abby Got Served," everyone on Abby's team turned against her. She also learned that one of her students, Paige Hyland, was suing her. In fact, the episode began with a process server delivering court documents to her office. This brought Abby to tears.
Abby thought that the women in the show didn't seem like "they were in the 50's or 60's or 70's when they dropped children off at the dance studio."
"They trusted you to do right by them. Today they question, they contradict me," she said.
It looks like the lawsuits coming towards Abby's direction will be affecting the show. But here's to hoping that everything ends well for everyone—especially for Abby.
Catch next week's episode, entitled "Jojo with a Bow Bow" this coming Tuesday, Jan. 22 on Lifetime.
