Dallas Cowboys roster news: Could prove to be the top offensive team in new season
Last season, the Dallas Cowboys suffered one of the worst campaigns in the National Football League. They went from being a potential contender in the league to barely getting through the season with a team intact.
Back in 2014, the team went on to have a 12-4 record and everything seemed to be on the upward movement. However, the last season only saw them go on a horrible 4-12 run.
Yet, it should be noted that many believe the biggest reason behind their forgettable season was due to injuries.
According to Fox Sports, the Cowboys may be a team to watch out for as they can turn things around in a matter of one summer and be one of the most formidable offensive teams in the league.
Last season, there were a lot of reasons to struggle, as cornerback Orlando Scandrick went down. Next to go down due to injury was wide receiver Dez Bryant.
Already with a hampered team, the ultimate toll was the injury to starting quarterback Tony Romo.
And with these three players easily being the best in their respective positions for the team, it was difficult to be positive for Cowboys fans.
However, this coming season, things are looking up.
The best thing to look at it is that the team is now starting off healthy and looking to bounce back from a dismal campaign.
Understandably, having Romo back will automatically elevate the team's status. Add the fact that Bryant is at 100 percent as well automatically gives Romo a target that will almost always deliver.
Even better for the Cowboys is the fact that they drafted Ezekiel Elliott who is expected to be one of the better running backs in the game today. His versatility and physical strength automatically gives the Cowboys the look of a contender in the coming campaign.
It was easy to count the Cowboys out last season due to their injuries. However, the coming season brings a healthy team with a new running back who can dominate, and suddenly they are one scary force.
