Cleveland Cavaliers trade rumors 2016: Kevin Love trade for Kenneth Faried?

After helping the franchise win their first NBA title last year, the Cleveland Cavaliers are still looking to improve their roster, and rumors are circulating that one of their stars may be on his way out.

According to reports, the Cavaliers are looking to shop star forward Kevin Love in order to get more pieces to help the team.

There is no denying that Love is an important player in the franchise, scoring from inside and outside as well as getting important rebounds, but there is a sense that he just does not fit perfectly with the team.

Despite winning the championship, Love is seen as the weakest link among the Cavs' "Big Three" and may see his way out sooner than later.

The reports also suggest that the Cavaliers may be looking at the Denver Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried and shooting guard Gary Harris to trade for the services of Love.

Cleveland is obviously trying to load up on stars even on the bench to challenge against teams like the Golden State Warriors, but the addition of Faried would give them the scrappy look like the Warriors do with Draymond Green.

As for Love, he already has a championship ring and has little left to prove. He may not be a perfect fit with the Cavaliers, but that does not belittle his capacities as a basketball player. A change of scenery may also help him improve in the long run, and Denver may be the best place for him.

For Cleveland, the addition of Faried will be highly welcomed as the team no longer needs another scoring threat if LeBron James and JR Smith re-sign, as they are expected to, from the team. Kyrie Irving had breakout performances in the NBA Finals and should be another superstar that the Cavaliers should look to keep.

This possible trade is still far from being finalized, but fans should expect rumors to circulate even more as the summer continues.
