'Clash of Clans' December Update release date, news: Christmas-themed package to be released to get ahead of rival 'Pokémon GO'?
Reports are rife that Supercell will release a December update for the hit massive multiplayer online game "Clash of Clans." Some speculate that the update will come with Christmas-themed features and is meant to get ahead of its rival — another hit game "Pokémon GO."
A new gameplay is rumored to arrive along with the Christmas Package update. According to reports, the December update will let players fix shipwrecks and acquire gems and other cool game items. The patch next month will practically let "Clash of Clans" players have more options in getting more resources. However, nothing specific has been revealed yet.
Since it is the season of giving, Supercell is also speculated to release the update that will let players access XP boosts the will subsequently let players get higher Town Hall levels. But no XP boosts lasts forever, so it is expected to come as a limited-time event.
Meanwhile, there has not been any official announcement whether or not a Christmas-themed December update is truly in the pipeline of Supercell. But it will not take long to know since there is only less than a week before the calendar shifts to December.
While waiting for the Christmas-themed update, fans and players of "Clash of Clans" can first spend their time enjoying the "Clash-A-Rama." Last week, Supercell announced through the game's official Twitter page, "Introducing Clash-A-Rama, the first ever, original series based on the Clash World, coming this December."
On other news, Niantic Labs has also recently dropped updates and treats to lure back gamers who have been disappointed with their poor tracking system in "Pokémon GO." First, Niantic Labs tweaked their tracking system making it more accurate and improving the Nearby and Sighting feature to track Pokéstops. A day after the tracking system was updated, the "Pokémon GO" developer confirmed that the interesting Pokémon, Ditto, goes live to the game.
