Fans of the National Basketball Association are counting down the days before the new season begins. New storylines, new teammates and new coaches fill up the news feed and many expect an intriguing 2016-17 campaign.

One of the teams that had the most buzz this summer is the Chicago Bulls.

Once Eastern Conference contenders, the Bulls saw their window close in the recent season, but they are hoping for resurgence in the coming year.

They definitely have a new look, losing veteran players like Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah to the New York Knicks, but gaining some new stars along the way.

The biggest additions to the team are undoubtedly Dwyane Wade from the Miami Heat and Rajon Rondo from the Sacramento Kings. The two stars may be considered past their prime. Many, however, are still hopeful that they can do enough to lift the Bulls who have Jimmy Butler as their best player at the moment.

Fan Sided believes that the lineup construction of the team will be a key to the success of the Bulls in the coming season.

It is understandable that Rondo, Wade and Butler are expected to play in the starting lineup, but keeping them together for the duration of the entire game is impossible. Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg must try and make something click for the team to stay afloat.

Furthermore, Wade and Butler are essentially playing the same position, which may create a log jam as others try to get some playing time.

More importantly, Doug McDermott should make his presence felt in the team or risk completely losing a spot in the rotation. A player like McDermott should be flourishing in the league but last season, he only averaged 9.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.

This is very different from his performance in college where he was a scoring machine at 21.7 points per game while shooting 55 percent from the field.

The Bulls still have time to work things out but it should be very interesting to see how they can make this work in the coming season.
