Chicago Bulls trade rumors: Bulls looking to offload forwards for Blake Griffin

The Chicago Bulls are continuing their attempts to lure Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin, with new rumors revolving around the Eastern Conference team willing to part ways with two of their own forwards to land the Clippers' man.

Parent Herald reports that the Bulls are trying to step up their game that may see long-time Bulls forward Taj Gibson and sharpshooter Nikola Mirotic leave Illinois in order to make room for Griffin in Chicago.

At the moment, the Bulls are loaded in the guard position, acquiring Rajon Rondo and Dwyane Wade so far in the season. They offloaded Derrick Rose but with Jimmy Butler returning to the Bulls, the Eastern Conference team is now looking to load up on the big man position.

Having Griffin with the team will definitely give them an additional threat down the post, and despite losing long-range shooting from Mirotic, the Bulls will be able to spread the floor more especially when they decide to play their guards all at the same time.

It is understandable why the Bulls want Griffin as he is a five-time NBA All-Star and only missed out last season due to injury which shortened his time on the floor.

Griffin is also almost a double-double machine as he averages over 20 points per game while grabbing almost 10 rebounds per contest in his entire career in the NBA.

On the other hand, Mirotic has only played two years in the league so far, and he is averaging around 10.9 points per game while shooting 36 percent from beyond the arc.

Meanwhile, Gibson has played all of his seven seasons with the Bulls. After being picked 26th overall, the power forward has been an impact player, averaging 9.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
