Castle Season 7 Premiere Date and Spoilers: Rick Castle at Toughest Phase in His Life
ABC has announced the premiere date for Castle Season 7, which is set on September 29, 2014.
Although there were rumors that last season was going to be the final one for Castle, the production team has denied it several times in interviews.
Castle was first aired on ABC last March 9, 2009. Produced by ABC Studios in association with Beacon Pictures, it is based on the lives of Kate Beckett (played by Stana Katic) and Richard Castle (played by Nathan Fillion). Castle is a best selling mystery novelist while Beckett is a detective for the NYPD.
If we are to remember, the last episode of Season 6 ended with a disruption of the much anticipated nuptials of Kate and Rick. Castle got into a car accident when he was bored down by a black SUV. Castle's car was shown engulfed in flames.
Clearly, Castle is not dead as he will be part of the upcoming season. The Season 7 trailer showed that Rick was not in his car when the accident happened. The coming season will pick up at this exact scene where Season 6 left off. Viewers will find out who/what caused the car crash; the new season promises viewers to see Castle at the toughest phase of his life.
The pilot episode, entitled "Driven", will focus on Beckett's mission to find the truth about the car crash that nearly ended the life of Castle. Rumor has it that the wedding will happen in Season 7 so fans are anticipating Kate's walking down the aisle.
