'Call of Duty: Black Ops III' fourth DLC pack will conclude the 'Origins Zombie' storyline
"Call of Duty: Black Ops III" is releasing its fourth downloadable content (DLC) expansion pack, and it will include the final chapter of the 'Origins Zombie' storyline. The chapter is dubbed 'Revelations" and is said to be the culmination of all the Zombie expansions that the game has been getting in previous installments. Other than that, the DLC will also come with some remastered maps from old games, as well as some new maps.
According to Christian Today, Studio Head of Treyarch Mark Lamia had this to say about the "Revelations" expansion: "At this point it goes without saying, that Zombies has been a true labor of love for the studio, and I'm proud to say that this will be a defining and epic experience for the fans who have joined us over the last 8 years."
Zombies and shooters have gone hand in hand for a while now, making some players think that they've become cliché ("Metal Gear Survive" also looks like it's going to be a zombie shooter), but "Call of Duty" is one of the most recognized games in the shooter genre, and the developers are sure to bring something different to the table.
The DLC will also include changes to the main game. Four maps will be added to the multiplayer mode, two of which are remastered versions of classic areas: Outlaw, the western-themed map taken the Standoff location from "Call of Duty: Black Ops II;" and Rupture, a re-imagined map from the Outskirts area from "Call of Duty: World at War."
As for the new locations available, there is the Citadel, which puts players in an abandoned old-fashioned castle, and Micro, which is said to be a miniaturized war zone that takes place on a well-stocked family picnic table.
The fourth DLC of "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" will be available on Sept. 6, 2016.
