Bobbi Kristina Brown Condition News Update: Whitney Houston Daughter In Coma, Found Unresponsive In Bathtub

Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, was placed in a medically induced coma for swelling in the brain after she was found unresponsive in a bath tub in her home in Roswell, Georgia, Saturday morning, according to CNN.

The 21-year-old was found face down in the bathtub by her husband Nick Gordon and a friend.

Lisa Holland of the Roswell Police Department told the media that at around 10:20 a.m., they received a 911 call.

Gordon and the friend called 911 and the former performed CPR on Bobbi Kristina. The police arrived at the home and performed "life saving measures," she said.

An ambulance took Bobb Kristina to the North Fulton Hospital where she is "she is still alive and breathing," Holland said.

Holland said the police are treating the incident as a "medical call."

She said, "It is very coincidental and bizarre that the same type of incident would happen involving a mother and daughter. It really makes us sad that this has occurred. We just wish her and her family the best."

Houston, 48, was found dead on Feb. 11, 2012 in a bathtub in her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office declared that she died of accidental drowning due to the effects of heart disease and cocaine use.

Holland said investigators went to the house and the hospital to talk to friends and family. She added that as a procedure, the police obtained a search warrant in order to inspect everything in the house.

Bobby Brown arrived at the hospital, according to TMZ.

Bobbi Kristina's cousin, Jerod Brown, tweeted, "That phone call just got me shook! I love you Kriss. Prayers up for my lil sis...been a ruff year man."

He added, "Prayers up for my lil cousin & god sister Bobbi Kristina...on the way to you sis ..love you @realbkbrown."

Last Jan. 26, Bobbi Kristina tweeted about her mom's death anniversary. "Littlelady&yourgrowing young man @nickdgordon miss you mommy ..:') SOmuch.. loving you more every sec. #Anniversary," she wrote.
