Bobbi Kristina Brown Condition News Update: Dad Postpones Australian Tour to be with Daughter
Bobby Brown has decided to put his career on hold in the meantime while his daughter Bobbi Kristina remains on life support since she was found unresponsive face down in a bathtub inside her Georgia home on Jan. 31.
Ticketek, a ticketing company based in Australia and New Zealand, confirmed that the "Bobby Brown & Naughty By Nature" show will be postponed until May so he can tend to his daughter.
"Bobby Brown's upcoming Australian Tour featuring special guests Treach and Kay-Gee from Naughty By Nature, has been postponed to May to allow Bobby Brown to spend further time with his family," a notice stated, according to Billboard.
Brown was supposed to kick off his Australian tour at the Eatons Hill Hotel in Brisbane on March 18.
Two of the shows, which were due to take place March 20 and 21 in Sydney, have also been rescheduled for May 28 and 29, USA Today reported.
"For anyone who has bought tickets, they will still be valid for the rescheduled tour," it added, according to the New York Daily News.
The postponement of Brown's tour came after fans were enraged upon seeing the former husband of the late Whitney Houston attend the BET Awards, which was broadcast last Monday.
Online users ripped Brown's parenting to shreds after they thought he attended the award show while Bobbi Kristina, his 21-year-old daughter with Houston, was in a medically induced coma.
BET Awards issued a statement expressing their support to Brown, clarifying that he attended the awards show that was taped on Jan. 24, or just one week before Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Georgia home.
"Continued prayers for King of R&B Bobby Brown during this difficult time. (The #BETHonors is pre-taped)," BET said in a short statement on Twitter, according to USA Today.
While Bobbi Kristina fights for her life in a Georgia hospital, her boyfriend Nick Gordon has picked up a new fight with Brown for refusing to visit her.
Gordon has been barred by Bobbi Kristina's family from seeing her in the hospital with most of her family believing that he might have had something to do with what happened to her last January.
"Your daughter is going to hate you when she wakes up," Gordon tweeted of Brown on Monday.
Brown's attorney subsequently issued a statement, saying that Gordon had been given the chance to visit Bobbi Kristina but failed to meet the family's conditions, which included a written explanation of "what happened to Bobbi Kristina."
