'Blindspot' season 2 episode 9 spoilers: Fall finale to end in shocking cliffhanger?

Jane's (Jaimie Alexander) cover is at risk of getting blown in the upcoming ninth episode of "Blindspot" season 2.

After discovering that Sandstorm is about to launch a premeditated attack, she attempts to send a secret SOS to the FBI at the expense of her own safety. Will she succeed in sending out a warning to her other team? And will Kurt (Sullivan Stapleton) and crew be able to put a stop to Sandstorm's destructive plans?

Titled "Why Let Cooler Pasture Deform", the episode also promises to deal a shocking plot turn to mark the show's fall finale. 

The episode synopsis does not give much away and speculations could go in many different directions regarding Jane's ultimate fate with Sandstorm. The much talked about "Phase 2" is about to be launched and Kurt's team could be the nation's only hope in stopping a catastrophe from happening. Will they make it on time, or will they have to deal with the fallouts of a possible failure when "Blindspot" season 2 returns for its second half?

The episode trailer aptly labeled "The Shocking Fall Finale" sheds more light to the events in the next episode. In one scene, Jane tells someone on the phone, quite possibly Kurt, that she is not going back to the NBI. In another scene, she is seen tied up to a chair with her brother Roman (Luke Mitchell) pointing a gun at her and her adoptive mother, Shepherd (Michelle Hurd) saying, "It's time to say goodbye."

In another scene, Kurt tells his team that Allison (Trieste Kelly Dunn) has been involved in a car accident. This raises concern over the safety of Kurt and Allison's baby, whose fate is left hanging in the balance.

Meanwhile, the raid that Kurt's team planned quickly turns sideways as it finally dawns on them that Sandstorm knew their plans all along. Could this once again raise suspicions about Jane's loyalty?

The trailer also teases that the last five minutes of the next episode is going to deal a potentially shocking conclusion that could leave its fans at the edge of their seats.

"Blindspot's" fall finale airs on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
