'Blindspot' season 2 episode 5 spoilers: Will Allie and her baby survive the crossfire?

Allison Knight (Trieste Kelly Dunn) may well be the most important character in "Blindspot" right now, even more so than Jane Doe/Alice Kruger (Jaimie Alexander). Surely, the series wouldn't kill a pregnant woman, right?

But "Blindspot" might just prove to be different when the fifth episode of the second season rolls around. Titled "Condone Untidiest Thefts," the episode may feature one major loss that could finally break the formidable Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton).

When Allie told Kurt that she was pregnant with his child, she explicitly stated that it was up to Kurt whether or not he wanted to be part of the child's life. Kurt had made his decision by episode 4, telling Allie that he would take responsibility for her and their baby.

But an encounter with the Irish mob may put Kurt's happiness at risk, as the episode preview shows Allie getting shot in the chest.

To complicate things, Jane will be the one partnered with Allie and will be dealt the task of keeping Kurt's girl and their baby alive. But from the looks of it, things may not turn out well.

If worse comes to worst and Allie dies, how will this event resonate through Jane and Kurt's already shaky relationship? How will Kurt react to possibly losing a child he has not even seen yet?

Another possible outcome may be that Allison survives but loses the baby. Will this open new avenues for Kurt and Jane's romance to find traction? Or will Kurt be caught up in his sworn responsibility to Allie even after losing their child?

One other relationship that may just bloom this season is one between Natasha Zapata (Audrey Esparza) and Edgar Reade (Rob Brown). Zapata clearly cares for her colleague and wants to help him get to the bottom of the Coach Jones case once and for all. Entertainment Weekly speculated that this could be the reason behind Zapata hiring the dark net hacker, SHDWCAT, at the end of the episode.
