"Beauty and the Beast" season 4 is nearing its end, but it looks like Vincent and Cat still haven't achieved the normalcy they want in their life as a married couple. If spoilers for the upcoming episode are right on target, it looks like an attractive operative just might make things even harder for the two.

"Vincent (Jay Ryan) goes undercover with a sexy operative (guest star AnnaLynne McCord), who Cat (Kristin Kreuk) discovers is an assassin. Vincent has to play both sides, while Cat has to convince DHS she can still be trusted," the synopsis shared by Carter Matt.

Based on the synopsis, Cat will discover that the operative tagging along with Vincent is an assassin. Knowing Cat's innate tendencies to protect Vincent, she would probably find a way to find out the assassin's true motives while trying to convince DHS that she is on their side and can be trusted.

The episode titled "Love Is a Battlefield" will be the penultimate episode of the series.

According to reports, Cat will see her husband and the assassin in a compromising situation through a surveillance camera. The promo clip for the said episode doesn't show how Cat would react, but with her knowing that Vincent is undercover, she would probably remain trusting of her husband.

Meanwhile, TV Guide has provided a glimpse of the series finale, "The Getaway," which is showing on July 28. The publication teased that Cat and Vincent would reunite and "strive to return normalcy to their lives despite the threats posed by a beast bounty and DHS manhunt." So it looks like the couple would find temporary peace in the final episode, although it remains to be seen if, at the end of the show's run, they would finally achieve the normalcy they're yearning for.

In related news, Zap2it sat down with Kreuk for an interview, and the actress had this to say about the finale, "I hope the people who have struggled with the ups and downs of the (main characters') relationship will feel very satisfied by the end."

"Beauty and the Beast" season 4 episode 8 will air on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET on The CW. Meanwhile, check out the promo clip for the episode below.
