'Batman Arkham Knight' DLC Price Latest News: Season Pass Features Include Batgirl
Gamers were left feeling cheated when it was revealed last week that "Batman Arkham Knight" would be releasing a season pass separately priced at $40. However, the price jumps to $100 when the pass is added to the main game.
Many gamers said they were not keen on buying the season pass claiming that it lacked information on the DLCs involved.
Recently, however, more information about the season pass was revealed in the forums dedicated to the upcoming game. It turned out the pass would allow users to see Batgirl becoming a playable character. The story on Batgirl is a prequel and involves a brand-new location. It was also hinted that her presence would be a "matter of family."
News that Batgirl is coming for the first time in the Arkham game series was warmly greeted by fans. Warner Bros, the publisher of the game, said it hopes to keep the story in "Batman Arkham Knight" fresh after its release, with the content provided in the season pass.
Warner Bros also provided the first render of Batgirl in the forum post. At the same time, the studio also sounded a note of caution, saying it was not ready to reveal all the details of the season pass as it was still being worked out.
"The Season of Infamy" section is also featured in the season pass. Here Batman will get to take on a number of well known super villains from the comics. This section in particular will have unique story missions, arcs and gameplay features. In Gotham City Stories, many of Batman's allies such as Nightwing, Robin and Catwoman will be featured. Their storylines will extend to events that happened before the timeline in "Batman: Arkham Knight" and after.
As for the Batmobiles, iconic ones used for over 75 years of the Batman comics and games will come with themed tracks. The game also features Crimefighter Challenge Maps and a number of character skins for Batman and his allies.
