'Attack on Titan' Manga Chapter 88 spoilers, rumors: Grisha Yeager features more in next chapter

A lot of "Attack on Titan" readers were expecting that Dr. Grisha Yeager was going to die in the 87th chapter of the hit manga series, but rumors suggest that chapter 88 will delve more into his story and how he became a titan shifter.

According to reports, the next chapter is said to focus more on the source of Grisha's power and his history with the Titans. When he was introduced in the beginning of the series, Grisha was Eren's father who had disappeared after the Titans' first attack on Wall Maria.

As the series trudged on, it was revealed that Grisha was still alive and that he had married someone else before he met Eren's mother. His previous wife, Dina Yeager, was a member of the royal family, and she was also a Titan shifter. What's also shocking is that Dina was the very titan responsible for the death of Eren's mother.

The previous chapter also revealed the identity of the Night Owl, and it turned out to be Kruger. The Night Owl is considered to be the leader of the Eldian revivalists and they are on a mission to overthrow the Marleyan government. It has also been revealed that Kruger is a Titan shifter and he takes form of the Rogue Titan.

Kruger has a history with Grisha, and the next chapter is suspected to delve more into their history and how the Eldian government was able to develop Titans in order to fight against other enemy kingdoms.

"Attack on Titan" was a manga series created back in 2009 by Hajime Isayama. Seven years later, it has spawned to become one of the biggest titles in manga, and it has already been adapted into a movie, an anime and a couple of video games.

Chapter 88 of "Attack on Titan" is set to come out next month.
