It appears that the Atlanta Hawks are looking to add to their line-up and rumors are circulating that they may be looking at a Western Conference team for help.

The Eastern Conference squad is reportedly being linked with a move for the Denver Nuggets' Danilo Gallinari.

Some reports suggest the best scenario for both teams, with a proposed trade that would send Gallinari and Jusuf Nurkic to the Hawks for Tim Hardaway, Jr, Tiago Splitter, Mike Scott, Thabo Sefolosha and even a future first-round pick.

It may seem that the Hawks are giving up a lot of players for Gallinari, but looking at the Italian's numbers it is easy to see why he may be worth the deal.

Drafted sixth overall in the 2008 draft by the New York Knicks, Gallinari averages 14.9 points in his career.

However, his breakout season was last year with the Nuggets where he was clearly the best player on the team when he is available.

He averaged his career high 19.5 points per game while shooting 41 percent from the field.

The only problem that Gallinari has is his ability to stay healthy.

In his eight seasons in the league, the small forward only played more than 70 games twice, and last year he was only available in 53 games and it was a big blow for the Nuggets.

Reports also suggest that Gallinari could be on the move, but only if it will also get a lot in return.

In fact, Gallinari is such an asset as he is only 27 years old and can offer so much when he is healthy, that it justifies the number of pieces involved in the potential trade with the Hawks.

It remains to be seen if this materializes or if the Hawks will try to get another scorer from a different team, but they should pounce on a chance to get a player like Gallinari.
