Apple Smart Glasses rumors and updates: Company to be working on another wearable device
Apple has always been considered to be one of the pioneers in modern technology. It has been the one who responsible for popularizing high-tech devices like smartphones and tablets. Now rumor has it that the company is working on a new brand of tech, "smart glasses."
According to Bloomberg, Apple has been mulling over the project for a while, and the development of the smart glasses is still in its exploration phase. It's said that the glasses mainly deal with augmented reality, and it will be able to allow the user to interact with elements that have been placed in their line of vision.
It's also said that the smart glasses will be able to connect wirelessly to iPhones, and it could mean a whole new way for people to consume pictures, information and even videos.
The same report said that Apple CEO Tim Cook is under heavy pressure to deliver a device that will put Apple back on top since there has been a reported drop in iPhone sales. If the Apple smart glasses are released, it would be considered to be Apple's first device that focuses on Augmented Reality (AR). AR seems to be quite the rage with consumers as of late, what with the release of Niantic's "Pokemon Go."
Some users, however, remain skeptical of the device and say that it can contribute to some problems with privacy among users. With the increasing reports on devices being hacked and criminals being able to steal information from users, some people are looking to steer clear of Apple's new devices until the privacy bug has been fixed.
Apple's smart glasses have no official release date, but some guess that the company is aiming to have it released by 2018.
