Apple AirPods release date delay rumors, specs and features news: Airpods may come out in November or January
The release of the iPhone 7 was met with a lot of upset fans when they realized that the device lacked an audio jack for earphones, enforcing dependence on Apple-provided wireless ones called Airpods. The Airpods release are said to be delayed until next year, and people online have been scrambling for any information that they can get on the wireless headphones.
According to MacWorld, the Airpods will be available in January 2017. The initial release date was said to be late October, but it looks like iPhone 7 users will have to wait until next year before they can listen to their music privately.
However, apfelpage.de (via Digital Spy) said that the Airpods may very well arrive this month with an announcement on Nov. 17, and a launch on Nov. 18 and 19. The news came from an anonymous source who is said to be an employee at the Apple reseller, Conrad.
As of now, no official release date has been confirmed by Apple, so fans who are eager to get their hands on Apple's Airpods should just keep their ear to the ground for any news on the device.
It's said that users will be able to use Siri with a single tap through the Airpods, even if the device doesn't come with any visible buttons on it. Aside from using Siri, people can still control their media with their iPhones.
The Airpods are also said to come with built-in microphones that will allow users hands-free calling. It's not clear, however, if users will be able to answer calls without taking their phones out of their pockets. Usually, Bluetooth devices come with a button to answer calls instantly without a phone.
So far there has been no official release date from Apple, but based on the speculations going around, Apple's Airpods could very much come out on Nov. 17.
