With Google launching its latest Android 5.0 L, Samsung is following through with its latest update of the Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS for its devices.

According to a leak posted by JustAboutPhone, some updates are set for some of Samsung's products like the Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Note LTE. Other U.S. providers have already released their updates on these devices.

Meanwhile, units such as the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 LTE and the Galaxy Note 3 Neo are reported to be on their final testing stage for the Android 4.4.4 Kitkat update.

Some products are listed with "pending" status for the update. These are Galaxy S4 Mini Duos, Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy Grand 2 Duos, Galaxy Grand 2, Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy Note 2 LTE.

Samsung products that are listed under "Final Testing" and "Pending" are rumored to receive the update this coming November.

According to tech experts, the Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS has a "fragmented nature," which could mean that this could be a very tricky OS. Reports say synched updates have to come first from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and the carriers before the completed update can be released.

The tedious update procedure can be frustrating for users. However, they can opt for the Google Play Edition versions of their handsets which can be a workaround while they wait for the update.

Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS update will require 285 MB of memory. It is also advised that during the installation process of the new update, users must ensure a strong Internet connection and stable battery life to support the update process. Lastly, it is also best for users to back up their files before applying the update on their devices.
