Jack Bauer might be in danger of having his last 24 hours. Fans are now starting to worry that the series 24 Hours: Live Another Day might be canceled as the ratings were reportedly in decline.

Getting the Top 6 post among several scripted shows for Fox channel for 2013-2014, the series proved itself a winner when it comes to ratings, having 6.33 million viewers.

However, Fox still seems to be alarmed by the viewer's percentage drop as compared to the previous season with season 8 ending with an average of 2.9 rating, while season 9 concluded with an average of 1.76, as reported by The Nielsen Company.

Last September 11, Fox CEO Dana Walden confirmed discussions with producers about different possibilities for the series.

"We are talking about it, thinking about when would be the best opportunity for it," Walden said at Fox's fall launch party, noting that the series was not only a "great reward" for the fans, but also "a great financial endeavor" for the network and the studio.

Additionally, executive producer Manny Soto has announced that Fox will not continue to shoot 24 Hours: Live Another Day in 2015 but are not closing their doors, saying, "As of now, there are no plans to continue the show next year but we remain open to the possibility. We had a great time doing it this year and would love to take another crack at it."

Currently, there are still no definite plans for a renewal, but the 12-episode limited series format might decide the fate of the series.
