Hyundai has recently introduced the Value Edition for the 2017 Accent. This new trim introduces more features while still retaining a very economical price.

The 2017 Hyundai Accent Value Edition is offered for the low price of just $17,285. It comes with 16-inch machine finish alloy wheels, rear disc brakes, and cruise control. Inside, customers will get a steering wheel mounted with audio controls, a Bluetooth hands-free phone system, and a sliding armrest storage box. Furthermore, the sedan will also be equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC and Hillstart Assist Control.

In comparison, the base model of the 2017 Accent sedan with a six-speed manual transmission is priced at $15,580. With an automatic transmission, the price is raised $1,000 more. The 2017 Accent is also available as a hatchback with three versions: the SE with manual transmission ($15,830), the SE with automatic transmission ($17,030), and the Sport with automatic transmission ($18,330).

All prices mentioned are inclusive of an $835 freight charge.

The 2017 Accent is powered by the all-aluminum 1.6-liter four-cylinder Gamma engine that delivers 137 horsepower and 123 pound-feet of torque. Advanced technologies like the Gasoline Direct Injection and Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing also help improve the sedan's fuel efficiency.

The compact sedan also comes with several safety features to protect the driver and passengers during collisions. There are six airbags: two at the front and four at the driver and passengers sides. Furthermore, the vehicle also comes standard with front-seat active head restraints to prevent whiplash. Technologies such as Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, and Vehicle Stability Management are also available.

Despite its classification as a subcompact sedan, the 2017 Accent actually has more space which puts it in the same league as many of the compact cars. Hyundai also made sure to include a lot of convenient storage spaces throughout the cabin like larger bottle holders in the front and a storage tray located in the base of the center console.
