'2 Broke Girls' season 6 air date, plot spoilers: Star-studded Dessert Bar opening for Max and Caroline? Details of 2-part premiere bared
"2 Broke Girls" season 6 is set to return to the small screen on Monday, Oct. 10, with a two-part premiere episode, and based on the synopses shared by a media outlet recently, it looks like things will be picking up where they left off.
Season 5 ended with Max (Kat Dennings) going through a terrible breakup while Sophie (Jennifer Coolidge) and Oleg (Jonathan Kite) eagerly anticipate the arrival of their new bundle of joy. Check out the synopses shared by Carter Matt for episode 1, titled "And the Two Openings: Part One" below:
"As Max and Caroline, now part owners of the diner, put the finishing touches on their newly converted Dessert Bar, Max deals with the aftermath of her recent breakup with Randy, and Sophie and Oleg prepare for the birth of their baby."
Based on the above synopsis, it looks like the best friends are ready to transition from waiting on tables to being full-fledged business women. The two-part premiere will start with Max and Caroline (Beth Behrs) working on the details of their newly-refurbished Dessert Bar's opening. At the same time, fans will see Max struggling with the aftermath of her breakup with Randy (Ed Quinn).
The second episode, titled "And the Two Openings: Part Two," shares:
"When Sophie goes into labor just before the Dessert Bar's grand opening, she demands that Max and Caroline be present for the birth. Also, the girls run into problems when they don't secure a liquor license for their new venue."
This is probably where the bulk of the premiere episode's laughfest will start, with Max and Caroline torn between their business' launch or watching Sophie give birth. Moreover, they left out one crucial detail for the opening of their new place, securing a liquor license, so obviously, the two will run into a major problem mere minutes into their launch.
Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly reports that Andy Dick will be guesting once more in "2 Broke Girls" season 6 as the sinister puppet master, J. Petto. To recall, the star already guested back in episode 17 of season 2, scaring off customers from Max and Caroline's cupcake store because his performance was too creepy. In addition, EW says rapper 2 Chainz will also drop in for the opening of Max and Caroline's Dessert Bar. It looks like the launch will be one star-studded affair.
"2 Broke Girls" season 6 will premiere on Monday, Oct. 10 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
