The features of "Red Dead Redemption 2" that were exhibited in its trailer might be hinting that it is similar to a sim farming game. Meanwhile, Take-Two CEO has high expectations for "Red Dead Redemption 2" in capturing the gamers' attentions.

The sequel to Rockstar Studios "Red Dead Redemption" will soon hit markets this year, and the game is described as, "An epic tale of life in America's unforgiving heartland. The game's vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience," on the game's official site.

A trailer was also released to preview the different features that gamers can expect from the open world western action-adventure video game.

RDR2.com notes the several farming activities exhibited from the trailer such as ranch management, hunting and gathering, cattle herding, and selling gathered lumber. These said activities will be part of the player's main tasks in the game after Marston has reunited with his family at Beecher's Hope.

Although it was noted that these farming activities are optional and are only for rewards, Daily Star gathered comments from fans of the first installment that "Red Dead Redemption 2" appears to be a "farming sim."

These fans described these farming activities as the "worst parts of the original game" and that they might not work with other gamers if the said part of the gameplay will be forced.

Meanwhile, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick shared his high expectations for "Red Dead Redemption 2" success.

"I think, the success of Red Dead, which is highly anticipated, will be driven by its quality," confirmed by PlayStation Lifestyle.

Zelnick also reassured gamers at the MKM Partners event that the upcoming game will offer "incredible emotional depth" with "great story elements and great gameplay events," as reported by Gamespot.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is anticipated to be launched this 2017.
