Three story expansions for "Mafia 3" have been recently confirmed to arrive this year.

According to reports, the action-adventure video game will be getting three paid story expansions that will be launched throughout 2017. The first one is called "Faster, Baby," and it is scheduled to go live by the end of March. This add-on will see lead character Lincoln team up with Roxy Laveau to fight against a corrupt sheriff. The developer, Hangar 13, noted that the first DLC will include epic stunt driving, speeding vehicles, and exciting car chases.

Due for release in May is the second add-on called "Stones Unturned." In the expansion, Lincoln is reunited with CIA agent John Donovan to settle an old score with a rival whom they knew from the Vietnam war.

The last expansion this year is "Sign of Times," which is expected to come out in July. It centers on a story about ritualistic killings tied to a cult. While Lincoln search for answers, his investigation leads him from the old bayou to the inner city's notorious drug ring. All three expansions are part of the "Mafia 3" season pass. The studio also mentioned that the launch dates may slip, but they promised to give an update if a delay happens.

"We were really humbled by the response to the characters and the story in Mafia 3, so we wanted to double-down on that as much as possible, while also providing players with different gameplay experiences," narrative director Bill Harms said in a press statement. "Mafia 3 focuses on the systematic destruction of Sal Marcano's empire, racket-by-racket, while all of the expansions tell direct, linear stories," he added.

Previous expansions for "Mafia 3" has included new outfits, a golden gun, as well as a free racing mode. Although the game also got a PlayStation 4 Pro upgrade, not a lot of fans have noticed it at the time.

Developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K Games, "Mafia 3" is available for Microsoft Windows PC, OS X, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
