Apple's CEO recently released a statement confirming that the company's efforts will be focused on the Pro series, which includes the long-awaited new MacBook Pro. Meanwhile, fans already have a list of features that they expect the upcoming MacBook Pro to have.

During the recent shareholders meeting at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California, Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a statement that they will be focusing on their Pro models when asked about the importance of their desktop devices.

According to Cnet, Cook said: "You will see us do more in the pro area. The pro area is very important to us. The creative area is very important to us in particular. Don't think that [because] something we've done or something we're doing that isn't visible yet is a signal that our priorities are elsewhere. It's very, very important to us."

However, Forbes suggests that the MacBook Pro may no longer be significant now that Apple's other laptops — the MacBook Air and MacBook — compete with it in terms of specs and features. The MacBook Pro has yet to carry new and enhanced features that will make it the top tier MacBook device.

But even though there have been no announcements yet about the new MacBook Pro's features, a list of enhancements was already circulating the Apple community, and fans are only waiting for Apple's confirmation regarding the matter. Some of these enhancements involve chip processors and flash storage.

Macworld reports that the new MacBook Pro might be enhanced with a Skylake or a Kaby Lake in terms of processors. Another possibility is that Apple scraps Intel processors and join the AMD bandwagon with the new RYZEN 7 chip line up.

There is currently a 256GB PCIe-based flash storage standard in both Mac Pro models, but these can be upgraded to 512GB SSD or 1TB SSD for an additional cost. It would be interesting to see an upgraded MacBook Pro with a 2TB storage option.

The MacBook Pro 2017 is anticipated to be launched this 2017.
