'For Honor': Open beta officially ends; new trailer revealed

The "For Honor" open beta has ended, and a new trailer for the upcoming fighting game has been released.

According to reports, the recent open beta was a huge success for Ubisoft. The company confirmed that almost three million downloads had been recorded during the event. Ubisoft considers it as an indicator that many fans are interested, especially for a game that's about to arrive tomorrow.

After the closed and open betas, the game promises to deliver a tactical and intense battle system for all characters. While it's currently unclear whether the online Faction War progress will be removed or not, it was already confirmed that "For Honor" will require around 31.74 GB of hard drive space.

"Carve a path of destruction through the battlefield fighting for guts, glory, and survival in For Honor, a new melee action game developed by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with other Ubisoft studios," the game's description reads.

One of the gameplay features players are looking forward to is the multiplayer campaign. Five different multiplayer modes will be made available, but it's important to note that they are all just variations of either zone capture or death match games.

The game also offers an in-depth single player campaign with a story that takes place across different countries and locations. Though relatively little is known about the game mode, it was previously confirmed that all three of the factions will be covered. Players can take on the role of a Samurai, a Knight, or a Viking.

Twelve distinct heroes are set to be introduced, and they are broadly categorized based on their type. The Samurai faction includes The Kensei, The Shugoki, The Orochi, and the long-range warrior Nobushi. The Vikings hold The Raiders, The Warlords, The Berserkers, and The Valkyries, while the Knight faction is made up of The Wardens (vanguard), The Conquerors (high defense), The Peacekeepers (quick, dual-wielding assassins), and The Lawbringers (hybrids).

Developed and published by Ubisoft, "For Honor" will be released on Feb. 14 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
