Tim Tebow To Be 'Good Morning America' Correspondent
Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow has taken on a new gig in the entertainment industry by serving as a weekly correspondent for ABC's "Good Morning America."
Tebow will reportedly appear on the morning talk show every Monday to host a segment known as "Motivate Me Mondays." Tebow also holds a position as an analyst for ESPN's SEC Network.
The 27-year-old's weekly series will follow the lives on inspirational people and how they have overcome their struggles to triumph in life. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this is Tebow's latest gig with the Disney-ABC Network that also owns ESPN.
Tebow did a test-run as a host on "Good Morning America" back in February ahead of the Super Bowl. He also helped host the morning show in December 2013.
The former NFL quarterback has repeatedly expressed his interest in continuing to play for the NFL. He previously played for the Denver Broncos and New York Jets but was dropped ahead of the 2013 season. The athlete previously told reporters that despite his new media opportunities, he will continue "to pursue my dream of playing quarterback in the NFL."
"I feel like I'm the best that I've ever been as a quarterback right now, and I hope I get the opportunity to show that," the football player, who previously played for the Florida Gators during his college career, told NFL.com back in 2013.
As far as his approach to the analyst world, Tebow told reporters: "I would love to continue to be someone that is positive but also be someone that is objective."
"I have never had a hard time saying what I believe or standing up for something, and hopefully, I can continue to be that same person as an analyst and sharing what I believe about players, about teams, about games."
