The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Green Bay Packers in dramatic fashion to win the N.F.C. title and earn their ticket to Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale, Arizona, on Feb. 1.

The Seahawks will play against the New England Patriots for the Super Bowl this year, after the Patriots crushed the Indianapolis Colts with a 45-7 victory on Sunday.

In improbable fashion, the reigning Super Bowl champions rallied from a 16-0 halftime deficit to knock out the Packers, securing a 28-33 overtime win in the biggest comeback in championship game history.

The Packers initially pulled out a commanding early lead of 16-0 at half-time before seeing Seattle gain traction, scoring touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters to close the gap.

Late in the fourth quarter, Seattle capitalized on a recovered onside kick, scoring a touchdown and 2-point conversion that put the Seahawks in the lead for the first time in the game.

Green Bay answered with a 48-yard field goal that sent the game into overtime with just moments left.

In overtime, Seattle marched their first possession up the field, cementing their win when quarterback Russell Wilson rocketed a 35-yard shotgun pass to Jermaine Kearse.

Meanwhile, in the A.F.C. game, the Patriots established their lead early against the Colts, scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter.

The Colts scored one touchdown in the second quarter, but after a Patriots field goal, New England still entered halftime 10 points in the lead.

A heavy storm began moving into the Gillette Stadium as the Patriots scored three more touchdowns in the third quarter and entered the final quarter leading 38-7.

Another touchdown brought them to 45 points, tying with their own postseason scoring record. Three of the game's touchdowns were scored by running back LeGarrette Blount, who ran 30 times for 148 yards.

The Patriots' victory will ensure that quarterback Tom Brady makes a record-setting sixth Super Bowl appearance this year.
