After Ronda Rousey lost to Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes in 48 seconds, a lot of people believe that the former champion should just retire. She has already done so much for the sport, and many were wondering if her head was still in it. But Jon Jones, a former UFC champion himself, believes that she can still make a comeback.

In an interview with TMZ Sports (via Sherdog), Jones said Rousey shouldn't retire after her latest setback. "I think she needs to stick to fighting. I said in a tweet that I believe she still beats 90 percent of the division," he stated.

Nunes recently said that Rousey was overrated and a product of the UFC hype machine, but Jones disagrees with that notion. "I don't agree with that. I think the sport is kind of catching up with her talent level. And people are realizing that maybe she's not as good a striker as she is a ground specialist. I think Holly Holm laid out a blueprint of how to beat Ronda. And it worked."

Jones said he believes that Rousey could still get the belt back and beat everybody else in her division. However, she would have to evolve if she wants to get back on top. "One thing about martial arts is none of us are invincible," he stated.

That's some sound advice. Jones definitely knows a thing or two about evolving. He has worked on all aspects of his game to become one of the best pound-for-pound mixed martial artists on the planet. Unfortunately, his popularity has taken a hit recently because of a series of problems outside the octagon.

Meanwhile, Cat Zingano has had enough of Nunes' antics. Zingano recently admonished Nunes by tweeting that the champion was being "disrespectful" and "ungrateful" toward Rousey. Zingano already has a win against Nunes, so maybe the two will square up in the future.
