Franchises in the 30-team National Basketball Organization are currently working double time in rebuilding and revamping their rosters ahead of the opening of the 2016–17 NBA regular season on Oct. 25. To boost New York Knicks' playoff campaign in the next season, the organization has recently added two All-Star players to their lineup, namely, Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah. Moreover, there are emerging speculations that the team may also pursue another high-profile acquisition in the form of Chris Bosh who is currently signed with the Miami Heat.

Per Christian Post report, getting Bosh signed in to Knicks' All-Star roster will reportedly boost the team's strength especially with Jeff Hornacek at the coaching helm. The report also mentioned that the former legendary coach and now Knicks front office executive, Phil Jackson, intends to nurture a team led by Carmelo Anthony powered by up-and-coming star Kristaps Porzingis, Brandon Jennings, Courtney Lee, Noah, and Rose.

However, question over Bosh's usefulness to the team is looming following a controversy over the power forward's recurring blood clots in one of his lungs rendered him unable to participate in Miami Heat's games after the All-Star break in February. His future career remains in limbo as basketball pundits remain cautious over the 31-year-old athlete's hardcourt comeback. If the embattled power forward does make it to the league again after getting a green light from doctors, Bosh could jump ship to New York via trade with Miami. To acquire Bosh from the Heat means Knicks would have to exchange center Noah in return per BitBag report.

Meanwhile, Heat is facing its own roster problems. Despite being seen as a traditional NBA powerhouse in the Eastern Conference, Miami would have to revamp its lineup following the Dwayne Wade's departure to Chicago Bulls. The team was a formidable team during the "Big Three Era" with back-to-back NBA titles in 2012 and 2013. At that time, the power trio composed of LeBron James, Wade, and Bosh swept through the limelight and dominated the league.

"We feel we have defensive minded players. It starts with a defensive player of the year candidate in Hassan Whiteside, somebody that can defend the rim. There are some things that will never change with this organization which is our expectation to win and our expectation to compete for an NBA championship regardless of who we have in this uniform," said Heat coach Erik Spoelstra per Sun Sentinel report.
