Once again, DeMarcus Cousins' name has come up in trade rumors. Well, that's bound to happen if a player keeps on getting into trouble and butts heads with people in the same organization. There's no doubt that Cousins is supremely talented. Only a handful of bigs can do what he does and he can even carry a team by his lonesome at times. For a case in point, just take a look at the monster game he had when the Sacramento Kings played the Portland Trailblazers on Dec. 21.

Cousins lead the Kings to a 126–121 victory by scoring 55 points and grabbing 13 rebound. But in true Cousins fashion, he also got ejected in the process when he spat out his mouth guard. But somehow, the refs decided to rescind his second technical because he didn't do it intentionally, so he came back in.

Well, Cousins wasn't pleased, and after the game, he criticized the refs for the "ridiculous" call (via USA Sports). "It's ridiculous. It's obvious what's being done out here. It's a nightly basis. I hope the world can see now what's really going on out here. It's getting ridiculous. It's really ridiculous. ... Yes, [losing the mouthguard was accidental], man. Yes. This is ridiculous, man. Ridiculous."

Cousins is one of the most versatile frontcourt players in the National Basketball Association (NBA), but he's also a headcase. And there lies the problem. Can the Kings build a team around a player that gets into trouble all the time? Right now, his name has been linked with the Boston Celtics, the Portland Trailblazers and the Miami Heat. Now, it should be noted that these are all rumors, so take them with a pinch of salt.

The ball is in Sacramento's court right now. Will they part ways with their talented but mercurial center? Or are they going to continue on with Cousins as the face of their franchise?
