There is finally a glimmer of hope that the Formula One legend Michael Schumacher is recuperating from the skiing accident that rendered him paralyzed for the past two years. It was reported that the racer is now seen reacting to people around him, thus raising everyone's hope that Schumacher is slowly, but surely, recovering.

A recent report from Game N Guide suggested that Schumacher is already responding to his surroundings. It is not known, however, if the racer has only shown positive signs of recovery just now as his family has remained silent about his real health condition. Moreover, Schumacher's family prefers to keep details about the racer's real condition as private, although they remain hopeful that Schumacher is now on his way to full recovery.

Schumacher's former boss and former Ferrari chairperson Luca Cordero di Montezemolo revealed that the Formula One star can be seen reacting to people beside him.

"I'm very pleased to know that he is reacting," said Cordero di Montezemolo as quoted by Game N Guide. "I know how strong he is. I'm sure that thanks to his determination; which will be crucial, he will come out from this very, very difficult situation."

Moreover, there are reports that Schumacher was seen crying when he heard the voice of his wife and children around him. Some sources also claim that Schumacher was shedding tears at times, according to HNGN.

Schumacher's medication and therapy sessions require a hefty amount of money just to make sure that the racer is responding well to them. Unfortunately, it seems that the family is now going through tough times as the expenses of his treatment is already affecting their finances. According to the reports, the family has been raising funds to continue Schumacher's treatment. Even his fellow Formula One racers have also conducted fundraising events to provide money for Schumacher's therapy sessions. Crossmap reported that F1 legends such as Daniel Ricciardo, Felipe Massa, Fernando Alonso, Mika Hakkinen, Nico Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel participated in the fundraising football event called "Champions for Charity."
