Famed Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps has won the silver for the 200-meter butterfly Olympic semifinals in Rio which puts him on track for the finals. Unintentionally, he also made a meme of himself with a photograph of Phelps sporting an intense game face which has been making its rounds all across social media.

According to TIME, Phelps' picture was taken while staring down at the competition: South Africa's Chad Le Clos. Le Clos had beaten Phelps to the gold back in the 2012 games, and he was apparently dancing and shadow boxing in front of Phelps while Phelps was trying to keep focused before the swim.

In the picture, Phelps is seen wearing headphones and a hood over his head while sporting a glare that seems to be quite lethal.

This is not the first internet meme to come out of the Olympics. Before Phelps, United States gymnast McKayla Maroney found herself as one of the most shared memes online. The meme was called "McKayla is not impressed," and it is a picture of Maroney scowling at the 2012 Olympics after receiving the silver medal for her division.

On Aug. 5, 2012, Maroney performed a nearly flawless vault during her event at the London Olympics. The move was so perfect that many believed that it would get her the gold medal. On her second vault, however, Maroney failed to get enough height to land on her feet and landed on her backside. The disappointment was clear in Maroney's face during the awarding ceremonies, and her scowl found itself as an internet meme for many months after the sporting event.

Going back to Phelps, he was actually greeted in the event by his fiancée Nicole Johnson, holding their 2-month-old son, Boomer. For an Olympic swimmer, Phelps has a lot of things under his belt, and fans hope that he can handle new challenges that would come his way.
