Yale University Student Being Tested For Ebola

A student studying at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut is reportedly at a local hospital undergoing tests after showing symptoms similar to those of Ebola.
The Yale New Haven Hospital said in a statement Thursday that it was evaluating the unnamed student who had "Ebola-like symptoms."
"Yale-New Haven Hospital admitted a patient late Wednesday night for evaluation of Ebola-like symptoms. We have not confirmed or ruled-out any diagnosis at this point," the hospital said in a statement.
It remains unclear if the student had any contact with an Ebola-infected person. Recently, Amber Vinson, the nurse who tested positive for Ebola after working at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, flew on a commercial airline from Cleveland to Dallas. The nurse reportedly had a slight fever when she flew, and therefore several schools in Ohio in Texas have closed because some passengers on the flight attend the schools.
At a press conference on Thursday afternoon, doctors at the Yale hospital said the patient possessing Ebola-like symptoms recently traveled to the U.S. from Liberia after living in the West African country for about a month researching the Ebola outbreak.
The student is one of two who recently traveled to Liberia, and the patient reportedly contacted their primary physician on Tuesday after experiencing a fever. They were then taken to the emergency room at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Doctors said at the press conference that the student's test results on Ebola will be available by Friday. Physicians have added that they are reassured that the case may not be Ebola, as the patient's fever has subsided since Wednesday evening.
