Xiaomi Mi5 Pro release date and specs update: The impressive smartphone will be released in April

A torture test has been done to challenge the capability of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 Pro's body. Smartphones from all class are prone to scratches and breakage when facing the harshest condition. The test is to determine if the handset can survive a high fall or any other accidental occurrence. Fortunately, for the Xiaomi Mi5 Pro, it gets through at almost everything the tester throws at it. It survives that scratch test.

The new development would certainly impress many tech freaks all over the world, especially after the Samsung S7 failed the same test.

The new Xiaomi Mi5 Pro is expected to come out in the market on Apr. 6 in India; while the lesser model, Xiaomi Mi5, comes out today.

According to reports, the premium model is expected to come out with impressive specs under the hood as well as boasting an awesome exterior design. It is said to carry with 4GB of RAM as well as an internal storage capacity of 128 GB. On the other hand, the lower model will come in two versions. Both boast 3GB of RAM; however, they differ in the storage capacity – one has 32 GB while the other one has 64 GB.

In addition, the Pro version will boast a 3D Ceramic body build, which look stylish and classy. It will also run on a Snapdragon 820 processor, and according to reports, it clocked at a high speed compared to its predecessor.

The camera features of Xiaomi Mi5 Pro can certainly compete with any other smartphone in the market today. It will have 16 megapixels rear snapper while the selfie shooter is at 4 megapixels. The 5.15-inch display of the handset will always impress the consumers, which will also go along with a resolution of 1080p Full HD.

There is still no report as to when will the phone be released in the US, but rumor has it that the company will announce it pretty soon.
