Xiaomi Mi Drone specs and pricing updates: New drone will come in two variants, carry impressive specs

According to reports, the smartphone maker has recently announced their new Xiaomi Mi Drone. The device is said to have powerful specs and features including full 4K support. What's interesting is that the company has managed to maintain its affordability.
Xiaomi has continued to grow as a tech manufacturer. The company is now one of the top smartphone makers in the world. According to tech observers, the Xiaomi Mi Drone has the potential to compete with popular manufacturers in the market like DJI.
The drone will be available in two variants – the one that supports 4K video and the one that only has 1080p video capability. According to reports, both variants have the same features and design with the video capability as the only difference. The drone's 4 propellers come with removable shields. The device has three-axis gimbal that holds the camera and makes sure it minimizes vibrations.
The drone with 1080p video resolution has a 16.4-megapixel sensor from Sony and runs on Ambarella image processor. The camera has the capability to shoot videos at 60 fps. On the other hand, the drone with 4K support also runs on Ambarella image processor; however, it only has a 12.4-megapixel sensor. The device can also shoot videos at 30 fps. The two variants use the same wide angle lenses up to 104 degrees.
Meanwhile, its battery technology is also amazing. It carries a 5100 mAh battery and can fly up to 27 minutes. Its duals PCB antennas allow users to control the drone up to a two-kilometer range.
According to reports, the 1080p will be sold at around $380, while the high-end version, which has 4K support will be priced at $460 once it hits the market.
