'XCOM 2' DLC update release date news: 'Alien Hunters' to introduce new alien boss
A lot of exciting contents is set to arrive in the highly popular strategy video game "XCOM 2," as 2K Games has recently announced that a second DLC expansion pack will be released in the near future. The forthcoming game add-on is expected to include more alien enemies, new weapons and armors, as well as a more challenging alien boss fight.

The upcoming DLC pack, entitled "Alien Hunters" is going to offer a fresh narrative to the base game. It will insert new missions for the players to accomplish, although the missions will not be that easy as new alien creatures will be introduced to antagonize the player characters. Specifically, the new kind of the alien race called the "Rulers" must be stopped before they succeed in conquering neighboring areas.
According to a press release as reported by the Polygon website, the Rulers will show up unexpectedly and randomly throughout the player's campaign missions. Each alien creature belonging to the Rulers class is possessing unique sets of skills, tactics, and behaviors. Some of their actions can vary from one another, although all of them are said to be "incredible, intelligent" beings.
The players must be able to eliminate these new alien creatures for good during the first time that they appear to pester the mission. If not, the Rulers will just retreat only to reappear again to harass the group in the midst of a regular mission.
Aside from the new alien opponents, the new DLC pack will also provide new effective weapons for the players.
Although only a little information is known regarding the new narrative mission set with "Alien Hunters," the same publication reported that it may operate similarly to "XCOM: Enemy Unknown" DLC pack called the "Slingshot."
"Alien Hunters" can be purchased online starting on May 12 for $9.99. Players can also obtain the DLC set as a part of a larger Reinforcement Pack game collection for $19.99.
