It has long been speculated that Microsoft is currently devising new gaming console which will replace the Xbox One as the company's latest generation gaming technology. While the giant tech company has not made any confirmations or mentions regarding a planned upgrade or new gadget releases in the near future, game enthusiasts have been passing on rumors that the new Xbox offering, dubbed as the Xbox Two, will be unveiled by Microsoft at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016.

According to a report from Trusted Reviews, there is a high chance that Microsoft will be announcing the new version of their Xbox line in the upcoming conference in June where hundreds of video game fans and gadget lovers are expected to come and hear about the latest trends in the gaming industry. As Microsoft has always been a big attendee to the said event every year, it can be assumed that the company has something to surprise the consumers.

There is one source on the internet today that sparked the rumors of an upcoming Xbox upgrade, which is the listing in the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), an independent body that checks technologies and gadgets such as the radio, television, wire, and satellite. According to Pure Xbox , the said FCC listing revealed that there are two model filings from Microsoft, named "Model 1683" and "Model 1682," where one of them could be the anticipated Xbox Two.

The reported "Model 1683" filing is expected to include a certain "User Manual 1525" setting. To note, this is already existing in the Xbox One. This model filing would suggest that there will be a brand new model for the Xbox which will include a new wireless chip and safety information card. The "Model 1682" filing, on the other hand, is said to feature the new version of the Xbox One because it does not make any reference to "User Manual 1525."

There is also a rumor that the Xbox Two that many people are expecting right now may not be necessarily a whole new Xbox console, but rather a new version of the current Xbox One. T3 stated in a report that it took almost two years for Microsoft to launch premium version for Xbox 360 and another five years for a slim version. This would suggest that the company is not likely to have a new Xbox version this year given that Xbox One is still relatively new in the market. Going back to the Pure Xbox report, the upcoming Xbox releases from Microsoft may not only the slimmed down version of Xbox One. If anything, the upcoming Xbox console may only be an Xbox One with a slimmer look.
