Xbox Scorpio news, specs rumors 2016: Console to share the same frame rate with Xbox One?
According to the latest reports, Microsoft will be creating the latest Xbox Scorpio with the same frame rate as the current generation of Xbox One console. This raises doubts that Microsoft's upcoming home console, dubbed as the "most powerful" gaming platform that the tech giant has ever released, will be packing with advanced features.

Xbox Scorpio is expected to be the upgraded version of Xbox One, and Microsoft had even boasted that the latest Xbox console will be very different because of its top-of-the-line specs. The Redmond-based company regarded Scorpio as "the most powerful console," having smooth framerates that can deliver "true 4K gaming" experience for the players. However, Microsoft's recent statement about Scorpio's framerate raises an argument that the new Xbox will not be any better.
Microsoft Studios General Manager Shannon Loftis revealed in an interview with the Game Informer that there is no frame rate difference expected between the forthcoming home console and the Xbox One. Forbes also reported that Xbox Scorpio will not have an enhanced or improved framerate over the Xbox One, and that is in spite of the anticipated advanced hardware specifications of the former. Loftis also revealed that the varying configurations for Xbox Scorpio and Xbox One should not necessarily translate to "two different mechanics."
Yibada reported that the Xbox Scorpio will be running with 4.14 TFLOPs, which is a huge step ahead of today's latest generation of home consoles like Xbox One and Sony's PlayStation 4.
Microsoft is reportedly planning to create a new and upgraded version of Xbox One which will be a powerful device to rival other competitors, such as the other rumored PlayStation NEO, PS4's own improved version. There are also rumors that Microsoft has signed a partnership deal with Oculus to develop the upgraded Xbox One console with VR capabilities. Microsoft's partnership with Oculus will make Xbox Scorpio compatible with the Oculus Rift, a top-of-the-line VR headset released last year.
