Xbox One Backward Compatibility new games update: entire 'BioShock' franchise gets backward compatibility
Looks like Microsoft wants to give Xbox One players a handful of gifts for Christmas before they end the year on a high note. After adding "Injustice: Gods Among Us," "Haunted House," "Space Ark," "Shotest Shogi," and "Shadowrun" to its backward compatibility catalog earlier this month, Xbox Live's Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson has also revealed that "BioShock," "BioShock 2," and "BioShock Infinite" are going to be available in the program.
Interestingly, 2K Games just released a compilation of the three games and their expansions called "BioShock: The Collection" for the Xbox One last September. Now gamers can play these games if they own copies on the Xbox 360. The Irrational Games developed trilogy is a first-person shooter game series set in a dystopian society.
A number of games were also added to the catalog recently. "Skydive: Proximity Flight" is a flight simulation game that allows players to experience the rush of wingsuit flying. "Raskulls" is an action-platform game in which players have to navigate through a series of levels filled with blocks. "Planets Under Attack" is a strategy adventure game in which players have to conquer multiple planet systems before aliens hatch from an infested planet.
"CLANNAD" is actually a Japanese interactive game and it is only available in Japan. "Catherine" is a puzzle platformer game in which players get to walk in the shoes of a man who is having nightmares because of his relationship issues. "Bully Scholarship Edition" is an open-world adventure game published by Rockstar Games. In the game, players get to control a student as he tries to rise through the ranks of the school system.
Meanwhile, Xbox One players will have to wait until next month for the next batch of backward compatibility games to roll out because the team working on the program is going on a time off for the holidays.
