Xbox Games with Gold December 2016 free games news: 'Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition,' 'Outlast,' 'Outland,' and 'Burnout Paradise' available

Microsoft has recently unveiled the December Games with Gold list of titles. Subscribers will be getting four new titles added to their game library starting this December.

The company recently posted the Games with Gold December list on its website. Subscribers of the program will be getting "Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition," "Outlast," "Outland," and "Burnout Paradise" for the month of December.

From Dec. 1 to 15, subscribers will be able to download "Outland" on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The title was developed by Housemarque and was published by Ubisoft. The game offers a two-dimensional platform with a polarity system that resembles that of "Silhouette Mirage." The game was launched on April 27, 2011.

From Dec. 1 to 31, subscribers of Games with Gold will be able to enjoy "Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition" on the Xbox One. The open world action-adventure video game was developed by United Front Games and Square Enix Europe. It was launched on Aug. 14, 2012, on the PlayStation 3, Windows PC and Xbox 360.

"Burnout Paradise" will be available for free starting Dec. 16 to 31 on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The title is the fifth main game in the "Burnout" racing video game series developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts. The title was launched in Jan. 22, 2008, for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

Also coming to Games with Gold subscribers this December is "Outlast." It will be available starting Dec. 16 to Jan. 15 on the Xbox One. The title is a first-person survival horror video game developed and published by Red Barrels Studio. The game was launched on Sept. 4, 2013, on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

For the uninitiated, subscribers of Games with Gold get a monthly dose of titles from Microsoft. To download the games for free, players have to subscribe to the program.
