Wrestling fans could not contain their excitement as one of the biggest events of the year in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) will be arriving in less than three months. As early as now, there are several rumors regarding the roster of WWE superstars that will be appearing in the event on Aug. 21, but perhaps the most thrilling rumor that has been heard by the fans is the fight between Brock Lesner and Bray Wyatt.

People have long been rooting for their face-off inside the ring as their previous appearances in WWE appears to be leading to an intense wrestling match. However, another rumored big event in SummerSlam 2016 featuring John Cena versus Roman Reigns may be postponed.

The news website YIbada noted the absence of both Lesner and Wyatt in television for the past few months. Originally, the fans speculated that their absence in the previous WWE events would lead to an intense battle in WrestleMania 32.

After all, WWE has been building up the tension between the two wrestling superstars since the year began. However, Wrestlemania 32 arrived but there were no Wyatt and Lester fight that happened. Their followers do not have to lose hope to see the Wyatt and Lester in the same ring as Cageside Seats reported that the two is expected to culminate their feud at SummerSlam 2016.

Meanwhile, the fans have also been rooting for John Cena and Roman Reign's battle and the rumors are rife that their bout will be the main event of SummerSlam 2016 in August.

It is possible that Reigns will defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship title against Cena during the event. Unfortunately, the latest reports suggest that the followers of the two wrestling superstars may need to wait a little longer before they can witness the ultimate showdown between Reigns and Cena.

Daily Wrestling News reported that Cena will be kept away from Reigns in the meantime, and even the pay-per-view events prior to SummerSlam 2016 may not see any interaction between the two, including "Battleground."
